الملخص:
     تُعدُّ شخصية النّعمان بن بشير من الشخصيات التي قامت بدور مهم في بداية الحکم الأموي- العصر السفياني-، ولهذه الشخصية أخبار مُتفرقة في المصادر التاريخية الأساسية وغير الأساسية، وفي کتب الحديث وعلومه والسيرة والکتب الأدبية.
وهذا البحث يقوم بجمع هذه الأخبار وترجيح الراجح منها قدر الإمکان منذ نشأته في زمن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صغيرا إلى فترة عصر صدر الإسلام (عصر حکم الخلفاء الراشدين) إلى عصر تولي معاوية بن أبي سفيان وولده يزيد الحکم، إلى ممات  النّعمان ومقتله.
وبما أن هناک أخبارا ورواياتٍ متضاربةً  تحتاج لبيان الأصوب منها، کما أن هناک أخبارا تحتاج إلى تحرير علمي وبيانٍ مصداقيتها. ولم تحظ هذه الشخصية بدراسة مُستقلة وافية، فلم يجد الباحث دراسة مُستقلة کافية سوى مختصرات مقتضبة تتناول جوانبا معينة من سيرته، أو دراسات وقعت في أخطاء تاريخية- کما سنبين- أو تناولت جانبا من حياة النّعمان بن بشير الأنصاري رضي الله عنه، وسيقوم هذا البحث بجمع أخباره من المصادر التاريخية المذکورة وتحريرها والتعليق عليها.

Abstract :
The character of Numan bin Bashir is one of the characters who played a role at the beginning of the Umayyad rule (Sufyanid era), and this character has various news in basic and non-basic historical sources and in books of hadith and its sciences, biographies, and literature.
This research collects this news and gives the most correct of them as much as possible since its inception at the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings upon him, when he was at a young age, to the period of the early Islamic era (the era of the Rashidun Caliphate) to the era of Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan and his son Yazid taking over the rule, to the death and martyrdom of Nu’man. There are conflicting news and narrations that need to clarify the correct ones, just as there is news that needs scientific editing and a statement of their credibility. This character did not receive a complete independent study. The researcher did not find a sufficient independent study, except for brief summaries dealing with certain aspects of his biography. This research will consist of collecting his news in the mentioned historical sources, editing and commenting on them.
